Oh My Web

Website design and development for businesses that need the site to actually work.

We build business websites, stores, multi-site content platforms and custom applications — on WordPress, Shopify or a custom stack, whichever your situation actually calls for. A ten-page business website is ₹1,50,000 / $3,900 and takes six weeks, at a fixed scope and a fixed price, with somebody responsible for it afterwards.

What we build

Four kinds of project, with the price on each

Most enquiries are one of these. If yours sits between two of them, that is normal and it is what the first call sorts out.

Marketing and brochure sites

From ₹1,50,000 / $3,900

The site most businesses need: ten or so pages, a design built for your content rather than a template, forms that reach a person, and structured data so search engines understand what you are.

WordPress development

Ecommerce

From ₹2,50,000 / $6,500

Shopify or WooCommerce, with the product architecture, checkout, payments, shipping and tax decided properly — and connected to whatever your back office already runs on.

Ecommerce development

Content-heavy and multi-site

Quoted from scope

Universities, media and multi-brand groups: one installation, many sites, shared components and separate editorial control. The complexity is in governance, not in the code.

Education and universities

Custom web applications

From ₹9,00,000 / $18,000

Portals, dashboards and internal tools, scoped in a paid two-week sprint that produces a real specification and a fixed-price quote before anyone commits.

Web app development

Stack

What we build it with, and when we would talk you out of it

Every agency lists the same four technologies. The useful half is when each one is the wrong choice, so that is here too.

WordPress

Custom block themes, Gutenberg blocks and ACF field architecture. Our default for a content site, because the editing experience is genuinely good once somebody has built the blocks properly.

Against it when the site is essentially an application with a marketing page attached. At that point WordPress is a database with opinions.

Shopify

Liquid themes, app blocks and checkout work. The right answer for most stores under a few million in revenue — hosting, payments and compliance are absorbed by the platform.

Against it when your pricing or fulfilment logic fights the platform, or when the store is a small part of a much larger content site.

WooCommerce

When the store belongs inside a WordPress site, when the rules are unusual, or when a platform fee on revenue is the thing you are trying to avoid.

Against it if nobody is going to maintain it. You own the hosting, the updates and the security, and an unmaintained store is a liability with a checkout attached.

Next.js

For custom applications, and for front ends where speed is a commercial argument rather than a preference. This site is built on it.

Against it for a five-page brochure site that changes twice a year. That is a rebuild dressed up as an upgrade.

Process

Six weeks, and what happens in each of them

Published so you can hold us to it, and so you can see exactly where your own decisions sit on the critical path.

  1. 01

    Discovery

    Week 1

What the site has to do, who it is for, what exists already. Ends in a written scope you sign, which is the thing that stops the price moving later.

  2. 02

    Wireframes and design

    Weeks 1–3

Structure first in grey boxes, then the real design on real content. You review at both points, not only at the end.

  3. 03

    Build

    Weeks 3–5

The theme or the application, built on staging, with a link you can look at whenever you want rather than a status update.

  4. 04

    Staging and QA

    Week 5

Cross-browser, real devices, keyboard-only pass, forms tested end to end, speed measured. Your sign-off here releases the 40% milestone.

  5. 05

    Launch

    Week 6

Deployed in a quiet window with the redirects in place and the analytics verified before anyone announces anything.

  6. 06

    Care

    Ongoing

A plan attached from day one, so somebody is applying updates and holding backups from the week it goes live rather than from the first incident.

Payment is 50% before work begins, 40% when you approve staging, 10% at launch — and the site does not go live until 90% is paid. That rule applies to everyone, including clients we have worked with for years.

What it costs

  • Business website — ₹1,50,000 / $3,900. Up to ten pages, six weeks.
  • Redesign — from ₹2,00,000 / $5,900. With the content, redirects and history carried across.
  • Store — from ₹2,50,000 / $6,500. Shopify or WooCommerce.
  • Web app — from ₹9,00,000 / $18,000, after a ₹1,00,000 / $1,200 discovery sprint.

Every price we charge

What happens after launch

Every project ships with a care plan attached — Essential from ₹4,999 / $79 for a brochure site, Pro for anything that sells. Updates tested on staging, daily off-site backups, monitoring, malware cover and hours of real work each month.

This is not an upsell bolted onto the end. It is the reason the sites we built four years ago are still working, and it is the half of this business that decides whether a build was worth buying.

Who we build for

Mostly abroad, and mostly technical buyers

86% of our development revenue is for clients outside India, across a client base built almost entirely on referral rather than advertising.

  • Software and SaaS

Marketing sites, docs, pricing pages that match the billing, and the product interface itself.

  • Education

Universities and colleges: multi-site, many editors, and an admissions cycle that does not move.

  • Ecommerce

Stores that have to survive a campaign day and reconcile with the back office afterwards.

  • Agencies

White-label development for studios that sell the work and need someone to build it.

Questions

Web development questions, answered

How much does it cost to have someone develop a website for you?

A business website is ₹1,50,000 / $3,900 for up to about ten pages, custom design, forms and structured data, in six weeks. A redesign of an existing site starts at ₹2,00,000 / $5,900, a store at ₹2,50,000 / $6,500, and a custom application at ₹9,00,000 / $18,000 after a scoping sprint. Those are the actual prices, published so nobody has to sit through a call to hear them.

How much does it cost to develop a website?

Below roughly ₹50,000 you are buying a template with your logo on it, which is a legitimate purchase for a first site and not what we do. Above that, price tracks the number of unique page types, how much content has to move across, and how many other systems the site talks to. Page count matters far less than people expect.

Can a chat assistant build a website?

It can produce something that looks like one, quickly, and we use those tools daily for the parts they are good at. What they do not do is decide what the site should say, structure content so it survives being edited by four people for three years, handle the migration and the redirects, or be accountable when the contact form silently stops sending. A generated page is a starting point. A site your business runs on is still a project.

Are developers being replaced by code generation?

The typing part is a lot faster than it was, and rates for work that was only typing are under real pressure. The work that is not being replaced is the judgement: what to build, what to refuse to build, what breaks in eighteen months, and who answers at 3am. That is most of what you are actually buying from a studio, and it is why our prices have not moved.

How long does a website take?

Six weeks for a ten-page business site, from the day the scope is signed. The schedule assumes you come back to us within five business days on reviews and content; if that slips, the launch date moves by the same amount, and we say so in the plan rather than discovering it in week five.

Do I own the site?

Yes, entirely, once it is paid for. Code, design files, content, database, and the credentials to all of it. No licence back to us, nothing that only we can operate, and no clause that makes leaving expensive. If you go elsewhere we will spend reasonable time helping the next team pick it up.

Do you work with clients outside India?

Most of our development work is — 86% of that revenue comes from clients outside India, largely in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. We work asynchronously by default: written updates, staging links you can review when you wake up, and a response time you can hold us to rather than a promise to always be online.

What happens after launch?

Every build ships with a care plan attached — Essential for a brochure site, Pro for a store — because a site with nobody applying updates is a security incident with a date on it. You can decline it. We will just be clear about what you are taking on, and we will not quietly stop caring about the site either way.
